Produce & Suppliers

We develop relationships with our professional food suppliers to ensure our dishes contain the very best ingredients from sustainable environments and that we can also ensure a totally reliable delivery of great food for your event. All of our produce and catering supplies are locally sourced, wherever possible we buy from producers based in East Anglia.

Meat

Our meat is sourced from a variety of family run butchers, including Gannons Family Butchers, Ware, Doels Butchers, Buntingford, and Direct Meats, Knights Hill, all of whom pride themselves on the close relationships they have developed with regional farmers, allowing their meats to be both traceable and environmentally viable.

Our Fruit and Vegetables

We work with both the Amwell Fruit Company based in Nazeing and Fisher & Woods based in Saffron Walden. Both companies provide us with first class service and produce, and many of our staple ingredients such as onions and potatoes can be traced to farms in East Anglia. During the Summer months our delicious tomatoes are supplied by Guy and Wright, an eco farming producer based in Green Tye (just up the road from Hopleys) who provide vegetables grown using only renewable energy sources.

Fish

We buy our fish from The Stickleback Fish Company, an independent family business located in Welham Green, Herts who buy daily direct from the markets and boats and provide a fine selection of fish and seafood. Stickleback are dedicated to an ethos of reliable sourcing and seasonality in order to deliver the best quality ingredients.

Bread

Our main bread supplier is The Bread Bin, Ware, a traditional local producer of breads and pastries

Wine

We have worked with independent wine merchant Justin Waples and his company Waples Wines based in Saffron Walden for many years. Waples provide us with an interesting and superior selection of wines for both our events and Café.

Drinks & Dry Goods
